90210 Spoilers

From Ask Ausiello
Question: Is Trevor Donovan the only cast member being cut from 90210?
Ausiello: As of this writing, yes, it’s just him. However, you’d think the show was undergoing a more massive overhaul based on the slew of new recurring characters being introduced in the fall. Among them:

Austin: A charming and hunky cowboy à la Brad Pitt in Thelma & Louise. He’s the son of a country music superstar. As such, he’s wealthy, but not in an obnoxious way.

Holly: Naomi’s super-wealthy, sorority-obsessed archrival at California U.

Jasmeen: Navid’s 18-year-old troublemaking, self-absorbed younger sister.

Gabe: The anti-Liam in that he’s friendly, outgoing and extremely communicative. An upperclassman at CU, Gabe forges an instant connection with Annie — but he may have an ulterior motive.

Jane: A mysterious new love interest for Liam who became a widow at a young age. Think Ingrid Bergman in Casablanca.

90210's Trevor Donovan (Teddy) Is Poised To Exit

Another 90210 resident is heading for the hills.
Sources confirm to TVLine exclusively that Trevor Donovan — whose heretofore-closeted alter ego Teddy was at the center of a high profile coming out storyline last season — will not be returning to The CW soap as a series regular for Season 4.
Fans, however, have not seen the last of Teddy.
Although a spokesperson for the show declined to comment, a 90210 insider says Donovan will appear as a guest star in roughly five episodes this fall.
“I look back on getting this real-life story line as a blessing,” Donovan told TVLine in a statement. “To be able to simultaneously take on a challenging role and bring awareness to a relevant social issue was a win-win for me. I’m looking forward to what opportunities and adventures lie ahead.”
News of Donovan’s looming departure comes as 90210 undergoes a period of transition —both on screen and off. Season 4 will find much of the West Bev crew moving on to college — a rite of passage that triggered the exits of the show’s two remaining adult characters, Lori Loughlin and Ryan Eggold. Meanwhile, behind the scenes, Life Unexpected scribes Patti Carr and Lara Olsen have taken over as co-showrunners, replacing Rebecca Sinclair.

Shenae Grimes' New Tattoo: 'Keep Calm'

Shenae blogged:
That’s what my new wrist tattoo means in Japanese characters, in case you guys were wondering! I normally don’t get them in such public places but I made sure it was VERY light etching and sometimes I just need that reminder easily visible! I view tattoos as badges of my life’s experiences. Tough moments or chapters in my life that I have overcome. We will all have to overcome those moments many times as life goes on but a lifelong reminder that I’ve done it once successfully helps me find peace in those situations. Odd? Maybe, but everyone finds their tools for comfort in different ways and I’ve always felt tattoos were one of mine.
‘Keep calm’ was an important lesson that I learned from the beautiful Japanese culture during my terrifying experience in Tokyo a couple of months ago. It’s one that I’ve always struggled with as a naturally anxious person leading a chaotic life growing up in the entertainment industry. Life happens hard and fast in this business and it’s not always easy to deal with but if I remember to channel the calm and resilient demeanor of the Japanese people and remember the scary moments I overcame while over there, I remember that I can get through anything just fine. You just have to keep calm in those moments to handle them as best as possible because they too shall pass. So keep calm and carry on kidlets… we should all try and be a little more like the Japanese when the going gets tough. Not recommending you go out and get a tattoo to remind ya of that as well but feel free to take a look at mine any time you feel yourself getting anxious or panicked over the little things! haha :)
Much love, xx S

AnnaLynne McCord and Shenae Grimes: The CW Network's 2011 Upfront Event

Annalynne McCord and Shenae Grimes hit the green carpet for The CW Upfront on Thursday (May 19) at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City.
Annalynne, 23, wore the “Luciana” layered maxi skirt and the “Long Tuxedo Blazer” both by alice + olivia, while Shenae, 21, went boho chic in a velvet dress and Vivienne Westwood platforms.
The actresses were joined by their 90210 co-star Tristan Wilds to promote their show, which has been picked up for a fourth season!
“So lovely seeing my familia at the upfronts! I heart you crazy kids @iamannalynnemcc @tristanwilds xxx” Shenae tweeted.

Matt Lantner Promises Kissing, Threesomes & Truth Or Dare In His New Movie, 'Liars All!'

If you thought ’90210′ pushed the envelope, just wait till you read all about Matt Lantner's racy new role!
What attracted you to Liars All in the first place?
It’s a good script, number one. It’s a pyscho-sexual thriller, but it’s very character driven. There are a bunch of young adults who basically carry out this truth or dare game on New Year’s Eve in London — and it takes some bad turns. The way the characters interact, there are a lot of desires and a lot of denial happening so you kind of see how that affects the characters and the lengths they’ll go to get what they want.
What’s your character, Mike, all about?
Mike’s an intelligent guy. He’s the kind of guy that doesn’t always get the girl, and he doesnt know why. He doesn’t have that ‘it’ factor, that confidence. And one of the other characters in the movie does. So my Mike is envious and wants the girl he can’t have. It’s interesting, because it’s a new character I haven’t really gotten to play yet. It’s a very detailed and complex script, driven by the characters and their emotion. So it’s fun.
And which girl gets to play your love interest?
There’s two. I’m pining after one girl [Gillian Zinser's Missy] and this other girl is pining after me [Sara Paxton's Katie.] It’s like this whole web of desire. It always creates tension and drama.
Any hot scenes we should be particularly excited about?
We definitely have some steamy scenes for sure.
With both women at once?
Let me just tell you, it is at once. I was the sandwich there. The way it fits in is really interesting and intelligent. It’s not really done just for the ‘wow’ factor. … It got a little steamy there with me, Sara and Gillian. It was fun. Sarah Paxton is so fun. We’re making out, doing our thing — kissing, rubbing — and the next second, we’re cracking up after a take.
Was it awkward being in the middle of two girls?
Not really... how does that make me sound? I was like, ‘I’m going to work today and having a threesome.’ Those two girls are so much fun and just kind easy to laugh with. I know Gillian well, and I’ve actually known Sara through some friends. So we all kind of knew each other. We’re all professional, we’ve all done it before. So we’re kind of used to the making out thing.
Speaking of Gillian, were you happy you got to work together outside of 90210?
It was weird at first. I was talking to the producers and was like, ‘You know Gillian and I are on the same show, right? Is that going to be off?’ They were like, ‘No, we’re cool.’ We went with it. It’s great. Again, I play a completely different character from the character I play on 90210. And so does Gillian.
And should we be worried about you surviving the movie? The last time we saw you on the big screen, you were getting stabbed by Leighton Meester.
I shouldn’t say if I survive or not — but, yeah, whats up with that? I keep getting all these Twitter messages asking why I keep dying in movies! People are really upset about it for some reason. It’s nice to feel that love from Twitter, but I’m getting a LOT of complaints, like ‘You need to be in a movie where you dont die!’ It is what it is.

90210 Finale - Scoop On The Shocking Cliffhanger

By Archana Ram
Last night’s 90210 finale ended with — what else? — a shocking twist, but what’s even more shocking are the changes coming to West Bev next season. (SPOILER ALERT! If you haven’t seen the episode, do not read on!)
After a season of marijuana addictions (Ivy), Fatal Attraction-style cousins (Annie), and messy affairs (Navid, Silver, and Adrianna), season 3 of 90210 closed with Naomi’s shocking revelation to Max that she’s pregnant. For actress AnnaLynne McCord, who plays the spoiled Queen Bee, getting the season-clinching scene is something she’s used to. “Naomi’s always the last scene of the finale!” she says. “She’s always crying or there’s something traumatic and crazy happening to her.” But even knowing Naomi’s penchant for cliffhanger-making drama, McCord had no idea a baby was in the cards. “I’m like, ‘Really guys? Really? Pregnant? Didn’t we already do this? I’m going to kill you!’” she jokes. “I did not see that coming. I said, ‘I’m not wearing a big baby suit next year!’”
But what happens next year, once all of the show’s major characters move to college, is up for debate now that new showrunners Patti Carr and Lara Olsen now have been hired. One of the changes the cast does know about? Not all of them are coming back. “That’s something we’ve been told,” McCord says. Though she has gotten unofficial word that she’ll be back — what would 90210 be without Naomi Clark? — the fate of her co-stars is less certain. “I think their reasoning for thinking they might slim down the cast is because it might be too much going with having people in different places,” she says. “Obviously, we’re all like a family now. That’s the part that sucks. You’re wondering which one of your sisters or brothers might not be there.” A spokesperson for the show tells EW, “With the recent addition of showrunners Carr and Olsen on the show, it is still too early to determine storylines for next season.”
As for the seemingly safe McCord, the actress sounds conflicted about coming back for another season. “Honestly, after about three years on a show, you’re like, ‘Thank you very much for giving me a step up. Now can I go do movies?’” McCord explains. “We love our job and we love our fans especially, but you’re always ready for that moment when you can break free. I don’t know who’s going to be lucky, the ones who stay or go. We haven’t decided yet.” While McCord enjoys the stability of being a series regular, she does worry about missed opportunities. “Being on a show is awesome. You have guaranteed work, it’s wonderful and the money is great, but at the same time you miss out on projects. There have been several movies I couldn’t do, and I really loved the script and wanted to be a part of them, and it just didn’t happen because I was working on the show. There’s always the ying and yang of it. Am I gonna miss it when it’s gone or do I want to get out because I want to get in? I don’t think any of us have decided which way we prefer it. It’s kind of 50-50.”

Shenae Grimes Heads To Teen Vogue!

For two months this summer while on hiatus from her role on "90210" on the CW network, Toronto-born actress Shenae Grimes will work as a guest blogger and intern at Teen Vogue. "I needed a change of pace," she said.
Ms. Grimes has blogged on-line for the magazine and for Nylon as well as contributed to the Huffington Post. She said she reached out directly to Teen Vogue's editor, Amy Astley "and told her why I would love the experience."
"I told them I was an intern before I got the role on '90210,' so I'm good at delivering the mail and I'm not above that," said Ms. Grimes, 21 years old. "I believe in paying my dues."
Ms. Grimes, who will live in the East Village, hopes to gain "more experience writing and get more acquainted with the fashion culture in New York."
A spokeswoman for the magazine confirmed Ms. Grimes's visit, but said it won't be considered an internship "since she is not in college and will not be receiving school credit."

Shenae blogged
"Thanks to Marshall Heyman at Wall Street Journal online for breaking the news about my upcoming guest-blog/pseudo-internship at Teen Vogue!!! So excited to be part of the hustle and bustle of NY, a city I’ve dreamed of living in my whole life and at a magazine I’ve grown up loving nonetheless!! SO excited to be a part of the Teen Vogue team for the next couple months… Stay tuned to find out more about my Teen Vogue and Big Apple adventures! XX"

Curious about the small heart Shenae has been sporting on her face lately?
The 90210 actress, who was on vacation in Japan during the recent earthquake, has also been focusing on a philanthropic endeavor called Spread the Heart, with her friend Nikki Pennie, a fashion designer.
The two have been wearing small hearts on their faces to help spread awareness about the disaster.
"While I was there, we were channeling our inner Harujuku girl and making these funny black hearts under our eyes with mascara," Ms. Grimes said. "When we returned to LA, we realized it was a great way to start a conversation."
"Anytime I leave the house, everywhere I go people mention it," she added. "I tell people to check my website to find out more ways to help and places to donate money to the relief effort."

90210 Cast at Dodgers Stadium

Spotted: Michael Steger, Jessica Lowndes and Matt Lanter at Dodger Stadium on August 22

Jessica Lowndes had one busy day! The 90210 star spent the afternoon at Dodger Stadium . For the casual event Jessica went with long, tousled hair, flawless skin and a sheer bright pink lip. Later on in the evening, Jessica showed off a more polished look at the Audi Chopard Emmy week party at Cecconi’s Restaurant in Los Angeles. For the fashionable fete Jessica pulled her hair back into a dramatic, low ponytail. She sexed up her eyes with heavier eyeliner and kept the same fun pink pout from the afternoon. What do you think of Jess’ two looks?
