Shenae Grimes' New Tattoo: 'Keep Calm'
Shenae blogged:
That’s what my new wrist tattoo means in Japanese characters, in case you guys were wondering! I normally don’t get them in such public places but I made sure it was VERY light etching and sometimes I just need that reminder easily visible! I view tattoos as badges of my life’s experiences. Tough moments or chapters in my life that I have overcome. We will all have to overcome those moments many times as life goes on but a lifelong reminder that I’ve done it once successfully helps me find peace in those situations. Odd? Maybe, but everyone finds their tools for comfort in different ways and I’ve always felt tattoos were one of mine.
‘Keep calm’ was an important lesson that I learned from the beautiful Japanese culture during my terrifying experience in Tokyo a couple of months ago. It’s one that I’ve always struggled with as a naturally anxious person leading a chaotic life growing up in the entertainment industry. Life happens hard and fast in this business and it’s not always easy to deal with but if I remember to channel the calm and resilient demeanor of the Japanese people and remember the scary moments I overcame while over there, I remember that I can get through anything just fine. You just have to keep calm in those moments to handle them as best as possible because they too shall pass. So keep calm and carry on kidlets… we should all try and be a little more like the Japanese when the going gets tough. Not recommending you go out and get a tattoo to remind ya of that as well but feel free to take a look at mine any time you feel yourself getting anxious or panicked over the little things! haha :)
Much love, xx S

Shenae Grimes Heads To Teen Vogue!
For two months this summer while on hiatus from her role on "90210" on the CW network, Toronto-born actress Shenae Grimes will work as a guest blogger and intern at Teen Vogue. "I needed a change of pace," she said.Ms. Grimes has blogged on-line for the magazine and for Nylon as well as contributed to the Huffington Post. She said she reached out directly to Teen Vogue's editor, Amy Astley "and told her why I would love the experience."
"I told them I was an intern before I got the role on '90210,' so I'm good at delivering the mail and I'm not above that," said Ms. Grimes, 21 years old. "I believe in paying my dues."
Ms. Grimes, who will live in the East Village, hopes to gain "more experience writing and get more acquainted with the fashion culture in New York."
A spokeswoman for the magazine confirmed Ms. Grimes's visit, but said it won't be considered an internship "since she is not in college and will not be receiving school credit."
Shenae blogged
"Thanks to Marshall Heyman at Wall Street Journal online for breaking the news about my upcoming guest-blog/pseudo-internship at Teen Vogue!!! So excited to be part of the hustle and bustle of NY, a city I’ve dreamed of living in my whole life and at a magazine I’ve grown up loving nonetheless!! SO excited to be a part of the Teen Vogue team for the next couple months… Stay tuned to find out more about my Teen Vogue and Big Apple adventures! XX"
Curious about the small heart Shenae has been sporting on her face lately? The 90210 actress, who was on vacation in Japan during the recent earthquake, has also been focusing on a philanthropic endeavor called Spread the Heart, with her friend Nikki Pennie, a fashion designer.
The two have been wearing small hearts on their faces to help spread awareness about the disaster.
"While I was there, we were channeling our inner Harujuku girl and making these funny black hearts under our eyes with mascara," Ms. Grimes said. "When we returned to LA, we realized it was a great way to start a conversation."
"Anytime I leave the house, everywhere I go people mention it," she added. "I tell people to check my website to find out more ways to help and places to donate money to the relief effort."

90210 Girls Flock to CBS/CW/Showtime Party
They’re no strangers to the red carpet, and last night (July 28) the girls of “90210” were spotted at the CBS, Showtime & CW TCA Summer Party in Beverly Hills.
AnnaLynne looked sexy as usual, wearing a low-cut tight black minidress. Jessica also opted for a short dress and chose to slick back her brown hair. Shenae went in the opposite fashion direction with a loose, flowing green dress.
"90210's" mother show, "Beverly Hills 90210," is having a mini reunion of sorts. Former heartthrobs Jason Priestley and Luke Perry are starring in a made-for-TV western that will air on The Hallmark Channel in 2011.
"Goodnight for Justice" will star Perry as John Goodnight, a circuit judge who witnessed the murder of his parents and a public official as a child and is "hell-bent on justice" as an adult.

90210's Finale and A Few Spoilers on S3
OK, it's not like our expectations were Lost-finale high, but after 90210's Shenae Grimes, AnnaLynne McCord and Trevor Donovan promised us a "crazy" season-ender with loads of cliffhangers, we expected some juicy stuff—none of which really transpired! So what gives? We were purposely mislead? Not so, says our source. Here's what happened to the 90210 finale that never was...
What Went Missing: Ummm, how about the whole "who really ran over that homeless guy" storyline?! Back in March, Trevor told us the season two finale would answer the question left open from season one's final ep. "In one of the last scenes of the finale, you find out who actually hit the homeless guy," he teased. "I can guarantee it comes out of left field."
But come finale night, the only thing remotely left fieldish was the complete exclusion of said reveal. How do you explain that one, CW?!
According to our reliable 90210 source, some story changes were made post-production and the rumored "real" killer twist was canned. In the end, Annie made peace with her crime, largely due to an encouraging chat with Liam (Matt Lanter), and solemnly wandered home to confess everything to the 'rents.
And that's it. If you're hoping to see more of Annie's hit-and-run issues in season three, don't. The Powers that Be are leaving the story as is from here on out? Annie was in fact the drunk driving guilty party.Bright side? Now that she's got that monkey off her back, maybe we'll get to see a fun and carefree Annie, again.
What Actually Happened: Annalynne and Shenae both promised "the worst thing in the world" would fall on Naomi's shoulders, and lo and behold, the poor girl was seemingly raped by the creepy teacher she falsely accused of sexual harassment earlier in the season. So...there's that.
What About Rob Estes?! Principal Wilson is officially out of the hiz-ouse. For those 90210ers awaiting a proper sendoff for the family patriarch, we have some bad news—there was never a big to-do planned for Rob's final days on the show, and we won't see him again.
Tristan Wilds reveals:
"You'll see another part of American culture. It's the plight of the single mom," he said of Dixon and Annie's now-solo mama, Debbie. "You get to see what she goes through and how she copes with dealing with two kids and still trying to find a job and keep a house et cetera, et cetera. It'll be a very different dynamic, but it's still very, very true to life."
And the one teensy tease he'll give about season 3: "It's gonna be a good senior year."
